Is it possible to use a thermostat to control my AprilAire Dehumidifier?
If your AprilAire Dehumidifier Model 1710A, 1750A, 1770A 1830, 1850, 1850W 1852, 1870, E080, E100, and E130 has been installed after February 2011, it is thermostat compatible.
*Models 1710A, 1750A, and 1770A require a control board with a local/external dip switch.
When setting my AprilAire Dehumidifier, what is an optimal humidity level?
The recommended humidity range for dehumidifiers is between 40 and 60%, providing a comfortable and healthy indoor environment. Maintaining humidity within this range is crucial for health, as high humidity can exacerbate respiratory issues and allergies. Additionally, controlling humidity helps prevent mold growth, condensation, and improves energy efficiency by reducing the need for air conditioning.
Is it possible to regulate the humidity levels in my basement separately from other rooms in my home?
